It seems Pete Doherty is skimming the tabloids for their cash this week. After talking to The Mirror on Monday, Pete has now cannily been nattering to The Sun, giving a conflicting account of his intentions regarding Kate Moss. He says being with the supermodel "became like the Vietnam war."
"I was always dodging bullets," the Babyshambles singer bleated. The mood of the article is written like a hard luck story the tabs love so much, and it's completed by a pic of Doherty with sad puppydog eyes looking unshaven with new pikey, peroxide mop.
"In the past when we talked about what would happen if she caught me cheating, I'd say, 'I bet you'd chop my bits off'.
"But she'd say 'No, I'd never speak to you again' - like my dad doesn't - as she knows that would hurt me. That's what she's done."

"Red-eyed" Pete has also been on the crack! Oh yes!
"A picture taken on Monday night shows him making a crude crackpipe from a miniature spirits bottle," the paper froths.
Pete is now left with debts of around £180,000 apparently, which is probably why he's been speaking to The Sun and The Mirror now "mega-rich" Kate won't be there to bail him out.
Apparently Kate is not too happy about being called a "nasty old rag." According to This Is London, Kate is said to have had a screaming fit, smashed pictures and threw a wine glass at a wall when she found out about the article published in The Mirror on Monday.
