Playlouder - Music is the Network

Anyone who's been in the same room as me and a stereo over the last year or so will know that The Chap currently hold the position of My Favorite New Band(tm), and probably will have been subjected to one or more of their recordings, before swiftly agreeing  with me, or calling me a twat with terrible taste in music and changing the CD (probably to Billy Ray Cyrus or something similarly awful if you didn't like The Chap).

Anyhow, this Saturday (the 23rd), at about 8pm, said band (along with some Lo Recordings labelmates) will be playing a free show at state51, 8 - 10 Rhoda Street, London E2 7EF (Just north of Bethnal Green Road, off Brick Lane), which, coinidentally is the home of us merry playlouder workers during office hours. There will be beer, and, I'm told, paella, and it will be very good indeed.

If my glowing endorsements aren't enough for you, then you might be interested to note that Vice magazine described The Chap as being "Like Underworld if they'd decided to be a lo-fi rock and roll combo instead of a stadium-selling dance act.
