Playlouder - Music is the Network

In an announcement set to rock the music world to its flimsy foundations, The Pipettes have announced that two of their three members have left to "pursue other pursuits".

Riotbecki (which is a silly name) and Rosay have left, leaving Gwenno with two newbies, Anna and Ani, the latter of whom is Gwenno's sister, apparently.

Close observers will note that this leaves none of the original line-up, other girl Julia having long-since left to form actual proper band The Indelicates, whose album track 'Our Daughters Wil Never Be Free' might be possibly considered maybe to have been perhaps written with her former band - whom she has been known to refer to in a forum capacity as 'The P*p*tt*s - not far from her mind. ("We dance and we sing / for a love we're not in...  Let's just be retro and disco and twee...")

Anyway, I'll be impressed if either mutineeress makes a leap as far as the former drummer, now Joe Lean of major label indie competents ...And The Jing Jang Jong.

Time will tell.

Meanwhile the remaining Pipettes are putting together an album with a view to release and touring this summer. Good luck to them!
