G funk crooning sensation Nate Dogg is alive and well (ish) contrary to what you might have heard on the internets this week.

Wrong meanerds hacked into dude's MySpace page over the weekend and left a post announcing the singer's death. People were quick to believe it, as people believe everything they read on the internets these days, unless it concerns the actions of their government, plus Nate had a stroke last year from which he's been recovering ever since.

 “It”s a vicious rumor,” Nate's manager Rod McCrew told MTV. “And it’s run amok.” 

Meanwhile, Rod says Nate's recovering just fine from his stroke (“We’re pleased with his progress,” he said), but Camp Nate remains somewhat disturbed by The Media, after gossip rag TMZ posted audio of  the 911 call that was made after Nate's stroke.

“I’m not sure what people are trying to glean from that tape, ” said Rod. "I’m not in a situation to see who is doing what, but rather tending to Nate and making sure he gets back on track."
