There look to be ripples spreading across the turbulent brown waters of Father Thames this summer, with the news that the always noble Adventures In The Beetroot Field people are taking to the waters. This summer, nearly every Sunday in July and August will see the Beetroots taking over the SS Queen Mary, a fine former steamer permanently moored on the Embankment in London with four seperate spaces for bands and DJs.
As ever, The Beetroot Chaps are looking to the past for their aesthetic inspiration, and are theming this one around the legendary Radio Caroline broadcasts which took place off the English coast.
