The Rhythm Festival is on it's way, where you can watch legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, Ike Turner, Donovan, Roy Harper and Jimmy Page and Arlo Guthrie in a field with some pop and some good yarns from the folk that were there. Do you believe in the redemptive power of rock'n'roll? The music will never die and nor will these guys. Well, not Jimmy Page anyway - that mother sold his soul to Satan.
It's a smallish festival that holds only 5,000, and Seth Lakeman and Chas and Dave are there as well. Sold you yet? Mike Reed is DJing as well. Oh.
The Festival takes place on the 6th, 7th and 8th August in Clapham, near Bedford and tickets are 75 knicker for the whole weekend. You can get day tickets as well, but day tickets are for sissies. Get out of your rockin' chair Gran'ma.
