Hullo all. My iPod has run out of juice so I'm using the PlayLouder music bit as a radio. Now, I'm sick at looking at that sodding pixies thing, and my creaky machine and ancient browser means I can't search properly. Can people make some good recommendations of things that are on here that I might like to listen to?
the hidden cameras? I got all their back catalogue that I was missing off here last week, and am enjoying them greatly. Searching by label for Rough Trade or Matador unearths some quality stuff too...
Yeah I got all the good stuff off rough trade, but unfortunately none of the REALLY good stuff from the 70s/early 80s is there. I used to like Hidden Cameras, but got a bit bored of them of late.
just attached arhur russel and fiery furnaces
ooh there's arthur russel on here?
want!
aah, 0 tracks means there's no music available.
that's not so clear on the artists as they don't have play buttons anyway. sorry
i just saw the name on the dropdown list when i was writting the name and attached it :/ thought because it was there the records were avaiable
luke - so you didn't download portable firefox last night? pah, you lose all complaining rights. I've added some more music in here you might like...
sorry. i meant: because the name was on the dropdown i thought it would be avaiable
though I couldn't remember the name of the Brakes albums...
@ Goncalo
You can talk about artists even if they don't have music, though!
aah no, the drop down includes artists without music - we need 'stub' artists and releases so people can write / chat about them even when there's no music available
it'd be nice to filter by with music / without music though
hmm
black devil disco club, prins thomas
testing. don't mind me
the attachments in the panel need to be MUCH smaller - i can see maximum 3 per screen
I have downloaded portable firefox, the trouble is it doesn't have flash imbedded within it. And I can't download flash
I'll try and make you a portable-firefox-with-flash-on-a-usb-stick when you're next in the office, luke
Beirut? Adam Green?
Sweet Jesus, Murry The Hump are on here...
ooh, adam green, that's a good one
I'm not massively into Adam Green. He's alright, but not suitable for an afternoon of fiddling with small virtual boxes. I need something evil
actually, I'm listening to the White Heat podcast that's on the Dazed site. More proof they're the most diverse little label around these days (and not just because I'm biased)http://www.dazedgroup.com/mediaplayer/default.aspx?m=listen&a=673
I hated Mouldy Peaches, but I love Adam Green on his own.
Well, I have a new favourite Television Personalities song now, the version of Sad Mona Lisa on here is very nice.
im feeling no age alot at the moment. kinda shoegaze come noiserock with bits of surfrock in it. two of them used to be in wives too who i also lurvvve
im on a new pornographers mood: new pornographers, destroyer, ac newman..
Is destroyers a new pornographers side project then? I didn't know that...
yes, i saw him with wolf eyes a few years back around here.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Destroyer_%28band%29
you mean Wolf Parade!
New Pornographers, Destroyer, Sunset Rubdown and Swan Lake are all inter-related
Frog Eyes and Wolf Parade too
but not Wolf Eyes
I thought them with Wolf Eyes was an odd combination. RE. No Age - a lot of people have been recommending that album to me and saying I'd love it. Gave it a really good going over at the weekend, and I must say I don't get it at all. Sounds too scratchy, self-aware American hipster noise to me. Very disappointing.
i meant i saw him on tour with frog eyes... haven't seen wolf parade yet, i think this was before even there was wolf parade.
i guess no age have kinda got a vice mag thing going on but the tunes are so infectious i can get over it
paul.sanders stopped stalking Recommendations...
